The AmapianoDMV team took what held South Africa strong during the world’s most trying time in recent history to create new experiences in the DMV area in 2021 as the world began getting back on its feet—If music was going to be the avenue to momentarily step out of all our woes, it was going to be with Amapiano and Afrobeats sounds. Turning to Amapiano and Afrobeats for the world’s comeback meant creating a global platform for African artists who have created the genre and had every right to champion its triumph on big stages.

Amapiano’s first event took place at The Fire Station 1 Restaurant & Bar, 8131 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, lining up Major League DJs, Kings of Amapanio for the one-of-a-kind performance. The success of this event served as the springboard for the first Amapiano Heatwave on May 28, 2022. 

We added to the list successfully curating six (6) more African vibes events in 2022 alone for the 600 to 1,000 plus audience per event. For AmapianoDMV, it is about the people just as it is about the music. The founder and team draw their passion from creating a global platform for African Artists, successful and emerging; also providing an avenue for their audience to lay down heavy weights and pressures of life, let loose, and have a deserving good time. • International Agents: We are proven in excellence when it comes to booking artists from South Africa to the United States. We manage everything from Visa application, transportation, accommodation and the actual event. We were the first agents to bring the top Amapiano talent to the United States, namely Major League DJs, DBN Gogo, Focalistic, Dj Maporisa and Prince Kaybee.
• Intermediary Artist Management: Time and taking advantage of emerging opportunities is extremely important to the artist. While in the USA we help artists book additional shows and expand their reach to different audiences and we have access to recording studios for those who feel inspired to add to their catalog. Our proven success in management can be measured by Prince KB who we not only booked eight USA stops for but also expanded his reach with two radio appearances.
• Promoters: We provide 5-star event experiences for all attendees. All events are carefully and uniquely curated to fit the audiences that are new and veterans to the sound of Amapiano and Afrohouse. We have a loyal following of 3000+ Instagram followers and our event averages about 600-1,000 attendees from the agents of 21-35.
